About

Local Melbourne artist, Laura, has been drawing for as long as she can remember and is continually inspired by the patterns and geometry of life and nature and has always found escapism in the world of pop culture, comics, storybooks and cartoons. Laura chooses to use her creative abilities to express the weird, wonderful and quirky way her mind views the world, primarily using graphite, watercolour and acrylic paint to add depth and fantasy to her real and whimsical subject matter. Her established style and form combined with a deep imagination, bring to life the substance of dreams, playing with combinations of elements, organics, seasons and machinery, her images become a visual puzzle of lines and colours.

Laura moved to Melbourne in 2012 where she quickly discovered the presence of a vast and rich art culture and began her quest to become a part of it. She started exhibiting in group fan art exhibitions where her passion for the fictional worlds of pop culture came in handy, contributing to a selection of themed exhibitions, such as Doctor Who, Transformers and the Zombie Apocalypse, to name a few.  Her art has been seen in local cafes and art galleries in Melbourne.
