Breaking the Surface

I found drawing these long flowing, swirly lines quite therapeutic and what actually started out as a mindless doodle, turned into one of my fondest drawings. It’s simple but chaotic. The lines and layers of water are endlessly flowing and swirling while it seems as though beyond the surface of the water is a dark calm still night. The tentacle, that is attached to a creature even larger beneath the surface of the water, reaches out, breaking the surface in an attempt to find peace.
