Soaring High in the Sky

I’d been feeling an Astro Boy picture in my bones for a while prior to painting this piece. I’d begun really experimenting with acrylics and had done a few ‘galaxy’ pieces. I love the vibrant colours and wanted to give the pieces a bit more of a story so I introduced my favourite childhood cartoon character enjoying a day off out and about in the depth of some vast, mighty universe.
