Steampunk Seahorse

I’d previous drawn a bit of a fantastical seahorse in just pencil over a coloured background. I loved the picture and details and the more I looked at it the more colourful it seemed to me. So I needed to paint it, this time with colours. I hadn’t had a great deal of practise with watercolours at this stage, more splashes here and there, so I wanted to push myself into going further with the paints and really bringing this one to life. It was scary and I thought I’d never finish it, but I was wrong and this pieced proved to me that this old dog can learn new tricks.
