The Koi was a specific design to cover up a shoulder sized thick black tribal tattoo. It was a challenge to get the lines of the Koi to suit the flow of the original tattoo so the cover up would look right over the top, the colours are specific for the cover up process as well. Greens and blues will stand out more vibrantly than reds and oranges.
